At IAM, the Vancouver Web Design School, students focus on learning skills that allow them to produce commercial grade web projects. These projects are paced at one every four weeks. On weeks 4, 8, 16, and 20, students must satisfy the requirements of the 4-8 Projects
where they are required to develop fully functioning sites in a one day sitting. On weeks 12, 24, and 36 they must present their Term Projects. Those projects submitted for weeks 12, 24, and 36 are guided client-based project work.
In the first half of Term 3, students are also required to plan and create their Portfolios. These are presented in Week 28 of the program and are then sent to IAM's partner firms to begin arranging Interviews for Internship placements within one of IAM's Partner Commercial Web Development Firms.
