The IAM curriculum is grounded in the notion that, too often, people leave training programs and face disappointment when trying to find work.

The biggest challenge? The need to demonstrate experience.

At IAM, our Web Design Training Program revolves around the developer-client experience, and students are required, by the end of the 9 months of their curricular studies, to have completed at least three real client-based projects and a full portfolio site that promotes their accomplishments.

The developer-client relationship is built right into the program. In Terms 1, 2 and 3, (months 1-9) clients participate on a weekly basis with their student developers. The Project Management instructors coordinate these interactions and train the students across all areas of client-developer interaction.

By the end of the program, students are self-sufficient and are ready to work as either freelancers or in-house commercial developers. In combination with the Internship in months 10-12, graduates of the full 12 month program are experienced, proven, and ready for employment.

Costs? Very little considering the scope and qualityof the sites that students create. $499 is a flat fee applied to all student-led developments. The fee acts as a committment fee on the part of the clients that benefits the students by allowing their tuition in the 3rd term to be reduced by the same amount.S
