Joe Teshima :: Flash Animation and Rich Media Development

When Joe started in the Internet Industry over 8 years ago, the focus of his passion was Macromedia Flash 3, a quirky little animation program used to create web animations. Today, Joe is using Flash to create interactivity , games, and training applications. In the last couple of years Joe has focused more on application development integrating training with audio and video.  Using Flash Joe has developed for the Nintendo Wii, Sony PSP, Pocket PC, Smart Phones, and of course PCs and Macs. Joe is excited to give back this knowledge and experience to upcoming Flash Developers.IAM provides the perfect environment to transfer this knowledge and experience.

Joe in 1999: The only way to predict the future is to invent it.

Today, like Web 2.0, here's Joe 2.0:
People are no longer consumers - they are creators, contributors, and participants.

Steven Stark :: Flash Animation and XML

In 2000 I received my first job as a Junior Web Developer, and within
the first year I was managing a small web development team. At the Center of Digital Arts and Technology I completed the 3 year X-Media
certification. My certification included training in Print, Web, Video,
Sound, 3-D, Law, Marketing, Art and Programming. After moving
to Vancouver I worked in Affiliate Management for an Online
Sports company and after a short time working with various design
companies in Vancouver. Since then, I became independent and have been successfully contracting out my services while working from my home office producing websites for myself and my own clients, such as a mini-cd for Sony’s ‘DaVinci Code’ DVD promotion at Circuit City. What I love is programming and development in Flash. I am now an instructor at IAM where I look forward to passing my skills on to students looking to enter the industry.

Dan Brooks :: Web Programming (Client Side)

Dan is proficient in current web programming practice and methodology, and is responsible for the delivery of AJAX and Javascript instruction at the Intermediate and Advanced levels.

Srikrishna Awatramani :: Web Programming (Serverside)

Mehmet Ates :: Web Programming

People tend to call me Mehmet, but you can call me ColdFusion/XML guy! Yes I teach heavy-duty programming. I have been programming since my graduation as an Internet Developer in year 2000. I also maintain a small web development business on the side. When I am not teaching, I develop sites for businesses in and around the community. I love teaching, because it is highly rewarding to teach the skills that I am so excited about myself. Teaching also contributes to my on-going skill development in the field.

Before coming to Vancouver, I lived in the U.S. for 5 years and completed my B.S. in Computer Science/Multimedia at Oregon State. I've since been working at SFU towards my Master's Degree. What non-digital things do I like? Cooking. Eating. Movies. Hanging with friends. You would not believe how inspiration these things are for a designer!
